about me

My name is Caroline and I am a DONA trained birth doula offering services in Los Angeles.

I graduated from Skidmore College with a BS in studio art. I have researched the ways in which art can be used as a powerful visualization tool that can impact birth outcomes.

In the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to work in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico doing research with Robbie Davis-Floyd, a renowned birth anthropologist. Under her guidance I researched Mexican birth art and how it reflects the cultural, political, and spiritual changes in birth practices in Mexico. I worked with a local midwife to understand how she used art as a tool in birth.

I have special training in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and am an advocate of queer birthers and birthworkers.
